SING-PLAY FOR THE EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM with Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer

In this participatory workshop we will explore and practice simple songs and strategies to use music in your classroom in multi-purpose ways.  We’ll play with rhythm, rhyme, sound and movement.

From call and response rhythms to call and response songs to songs that soothe, songs that encourage self-esteem and songs that enhance pre-literacy, music can do it all. Singing with sign language, singing with movement and singing with joy make a classroom happy. We will also explore how teachers can repurpose songs for their own classroom needs and even make up entirely new songs.

Add SING to PLAY and we will have fun. Join Grammy award winning duo Cathy and Marcy, who are trail blazers in family and children music, it’s sure to be fun!
